Re: F1 2020

Helmut Marko says Gasly will continue next year in AlphaTauri, with Kvyat replaced by F2 driver Yuki Tsunoda (currently 3rd in the series).

Albon's seat at Red Bull is at risk, the considered options being Perez (replaced by Vettel at Racing Point/Aston Martin) and Hülkenberg (this year two pretty successful appearances as spare for Racing Point drivers).

Grosjean and Magnussen are our of Hass next year and very possibly the whole sport.
There's going to be whole lot of changes and we might see 3-4 rookies next season.

...or not. The 2021 grid is starting to get clear and current guess is two rookies, Tsunoda and Schumacher.
I'm thinking Perez gets Red Bull and Hülkenberg Haas, with young Schumi. That would leave poor Albon without a car, but... he hasn't been able to earn it.
Russell is the wild card, whether Mazepin can buy him out from Williams.

I'm surprised Giovinazzi got to stay, but it's nice Alfa Romeo keeps the statistic that every F1 season team of that name has competed, there's been an Italian driver.

Haas may yet take two rookies, bad news for Hülkenberg. That'd likely mean Mazepin, even though Steiner mentioned Schwartzman.

Re: F1 2020

Fun fact: with Hamilton securing seventh championship, there's never been a podium of drivers holding (at the time) as many championships as Turkish GP 2020 - 7 by Hamilton plus 4 by Vettel.
Even if we don't count this one for Hamilton, it'd still be a record as previously there's only been total of 9, first by Hamilton-Vettel-Räikkönen 4+4+1 and several later times Hamilton-Vettel 5+4, but never before 10.

All-time podium of drivers who achieved most championship during career (so far) would be Spanish GP 1993 with Prost-Senna-Schumacher making 4+3+7=14.
(Schumacher and Hamilton never shared a podium.)

Fun fact: Sakhir GP was the best result for 5 drivers: first win to Perez, first podium to Ocon, first points finish to Russell and first race/finish to Aitken and Fittibaldi.

Re: F1 2020

While 2020 was majorly Hamilton/Mercedes domination once again, we did have some bright spots over previous seasons.
There were two new race winners (of two new winner teams, at least with the current name). And first time since 2013 there were four teams that won a race, including two that first time since then (that one being Kimi on Lotus) other than Mercedes/Red Bull/Ferrari.

And speaking of Ferrari, their fall - due rules that prevented them from cheating like previously, not that anyone can actually say out loud that they did - made interesting middle group fight between McLaren, Racing Point and Renault.
Which reminds that if RP hadn't been penalized 15 points for copying Mercedes design, they'd been third. So although I initially thought that was pretty light penalty, it hit them hard in the end.

And while Williams, Haas and Alfa Romeo were a sad sight far behind everyone else, at least they had mildly interesting battle between them.

And while there were less races in a shorter than usual season, with couple on same tracks, we got to see some circuits that hadn't previously appeared in F1 and may never again.

All in all, this wasn't the greatest year in F1 history, despite Hamilton making list of big records, but still better than several we've seen in last decade.
