Re: F1 game

MO, I would really like you to make a choice other than Hamilton within month.
Because otherwise I'll have make a coin toss or a very far-fetched rule interpretation (and considering how far I'm constantly making them in this game, that's saying something) that decides winner of at least one game or likely whole annual championship and I would really hate that.
So Vettel or Bottas or going wild with Räikkönen, Verstappen or Ricciardo?

Re: F1 game

Time to do some speculative math on the Game before final GP.

There are three players with chance to with the AG F1 Game championship (aka Total Game): myself, Simelius (who, for those who didn't know, is my mother - and the most successful player in the history of the Game) and EyeOfTheBeholder83 (who is in the Game due the "eternal participation rule" and hasn't actually been to Runboard for year).

The scoring is that from each three games player gets F1 style points: 25-18-15-12-10...

In Active Game either EyeOfTheBeholder83 or Morwen Oronor will win. For the last race, they'll have Hamilton and Vettel, respectively.
Simelius and I are in position to be 6th, 7th,or 8th.

In Passive Game either EyeOfTheBeholder83 or Simelius wins (Simelius requires Vettel to get 11 points more than Alonso in Abu Dhabi to win), the other being 2nd.
I am either 3rd or 4th (I need Hamilton to get less than 9 points more than Ricciardo).

I have won Team Game.
Simelius is 2nd unless Red Bull, McLaren or Sauber wins Abu Dhabi, 3rd if they do.
EyeOfTheBeholder83 can be (theoretically) 2nd, 3rd or 4th - but almost certainly 3rd or 4th (assuming Mercedes, Ferrari or Red Bull wins).

So point for the three are:

Kaunisto: 8/6/4+15/12+25=41-48
Simelius: 8/6/4+25/18+18/15=37-51
EyeOfTheBeholder83: 25/18+25/18+(18/)15/12=48-65(-68)

- if EyeOfTheBeholder83 wins either Active or Passive Game, she's the Total winner (=if Hamilton wins Vettel or Vettel get less than 11 points more than Alonso)
- even if she's 2nd on both of those, she wins if McLaren wins Abu Dhabi
- ...or in too many other variants to list, it's easier to count what it takes for me or Simelius to win:
- I only win if all following happens: Vettel wins Hamilton, Vettel gets at least 11 points more than Alonso, Hamilton gets less than 9 points more than Ricciardo, I get in Active Game more points than Pat4 and both Pat4 and I at most 9 points less than Simelius in Abu Dhabi and Mercedes, Red Bull or Sauber wins. (There just barely may be couple variant I missed there.)
- to win, Simelius needs Vettel to win Hamilton, Vettel to get less than 11 points more than Alonso, Mercedes, Ferrari or Red Bull to win and if it's Red Bull, Simelius needs to get in Activa Game 10 points more than me and Pat4, if Mercedes or Ferrari, then Simelius needs 10 points more than one of us. (I'm not absolutely sure of Mercedes winning as that causes complicated tie-breaker...)

Here's an interesting possibility that all 3 games could have different winner and a fourth player winning the championship/Total Game.

Formula E season and Game start in couple weeks.

I'm keeping the Game as simple as it has been: just pick any two drivers from the following list:

Results of drivers/team last season, years of championship (other notable titles)
*=driver has changed team since last season
**=driver didn't compete full season

1 Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler 2018

2 Lucas di Grassi 2017
5 Daniel Abt (ADAC Formel Masters 2009)

3 Sam Bird (WEC LMP2 2015)
- Robin Frijns (Formula Renault 3.5 2012)

14* Jérôme d'Ambrosio (International Formula Master 2007)
6 Felix Rosenqvist (F3 Euro 2015)
- Pascal Wehrlein (ADAC Formel Masters 2011, DTM 2015)
(Rosenqvist and Wehrlein are set for same car, Rosenqvist possibly driving only first race)

5 Nissan e.dams 2015, 2016, 2017 (as Renault e.dams)

- Oliver Rowland (Formula Renault 3.5 2015)
4 Sébastien Buemi 2016 (WEC LMP1 2014, 24 Hours of Le Mans LMP1 2018)

Re: F1 game

A month to season start, time to set up the Game again.

For minimum participation (as usual), choose three drivers from different teams from the list below.

To more profoundly participate each sub-game, here are the instructions:

For Active Game you may choose any one or more drivers (minimum of two is recommended unless you'll be changing during season). You may make a new choice at any time of season. (Basically idea is for players to pick a driver before each GP, but only couple players play that actively.)

In Passive Game players choose the mentioned three drivers from different teams to alternate through season; nothing more in that.

For Team Game you choose three teams similarly to three drivers of Passive Game, them altering through season. However you're also allowed to choose more than three teams (and it would be appreciated to pick a fourth to make the game more interesting).
Note that Team Game has different scoring, only GP winning team gains you points.

(Note that Racing Point/Force India would've been 5th without mid-season change of ownership making some points excluded - and thus Haas and McLaren 6th and 7th.

Name "Racing Point" may yet be changed before season start.)

Passive:
Vettel,
Verstappen,
Ricciardo

Team:
How does this work? If everyone picks Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull it'll likely be a tie.
