R.A. Salvatore's ]Sellswords trilogy, a D&D spinoff from his Drizzt series centered on assassin Entreri and dark elf mercenary Jarlaxle, two arguably best villains of the series who now become anti-heroes (though Jarlaxle has always been so, more or less).

Very enjoyable; but you need to read at least dozen books of the series before these.

Busy reading the 4th book in the Left Behind series.
The plot is getting very twisty and I am hating having to put it down to finish chores and go to work.

Haven't heard of that series Iris - who's the author and what are they about?

I just finished the latest Katharine Kerr Book The Spirit Stone. Two more to go and her Deverry Saga will be finished! Woot!

Next up on the reading [sign in to see URL] have no idea. I got a massive pile from my mom, lots of French books too, so that should be fun.

Hey Petal. This link should help you. These books bring Revelation alive in fiction! Really awesome. It is a continuing saga about the end times. It centres around a few main characters and the events leading up to the final judgement of mankind.
They are fast-paced and action packed books with more twists in the plot than a pretzel.

Nice light reading to give me a break from some of the heavy non-fiction books I like.

Why is it that when we're busy and have no time to read as much as we'd like, we think how great it would be to have a day in bed to catch up. And, if that should happen, we just aren't in the mood or can't summon up any yen for it?

Perversity of human nature!!

I've started reading this absolutely stunning French book: du herisson (The elegance of the hedgehog).

The language is spectacular, and I wonder how it will translate into English, as a lot of the poetry of the book comes from the tenses used. [sign in to see URL] so love reading beautifully written French novels...

I've started re-reading Talyor Caldwell's, Testimony of Two Men. I loved medical stories and especially when they have a basis in actual medical history. This one deals with early 20th century America and conditions in hospitals and the attitudes of old doctors compared to the newly trained ones regarding asepsis in the days before antibiotics.
We have no idea how lucky we are to have been alive at a time when medicine understands and works against infection rather than pretending it's caused by powers beyond our control..
