United Airlines under fire again

Last year, United Airlines came under fire for using excessive force to remove a passenger from an over-booked flight. Recently, they've come under fire again for three incidents involving dogs. In the first incident, a 10-month-old French Bulldog died after a flight attendant insisted the puppy be kept in the overhead luggage compartment, despite the fact that it was travelling in a TSA-approved pet carrier. The other two incidents involved dogs being sent to the wrong destinations. Imagine going to the airport to pick up your dog, only to be told that your pet was mistakenly put on a flight to Japan.

I can't believe that they allow dogs to travel around on planes in the first place. I love my dog but I wouldn't subject him to the discomfort of flying unless it was absolutely necessary. I saw what it did to our lab when we had him shipped to us when we moved the coast. It's traumatic. I don't think dogs should be traumatised. Which is why we're driving up north with ours.
