And 2018 games are in Russia, just keeps getting better. Their winter Olympics wasn't much better than Beijing.
Have to to say I would've agreed if they'd canceled Bahrain GP last year and giving hockey WC to Belarus this year was stupid in first place.
Oh and let's add to the list Russian GP this year. My guess in season start game was that it wouldn't happen, but I'm afraid I was wrong.
Also, about Brazil: they tried real hard to ban selling beer in games to help keep order; FIFA didn't accept that.
Budweiser is one of FIFA's major sponsors.
And I'm not really that "passive aggressive", just kidding with the two of you. Mostly.
Yeah, I'm over-reacting because this thing makes me angry. It's chasing the almighty dollar, with the lives of people who are defenceless.

I know.

Re: World Cup Brazil 2014 game
Yesterday I noticed something. To be exact who's playing who on first playoff round.
I've made a bad tactical mistake.
Mom and I are going to lose this game.
I'll post first real score situation when the group phase is done, but now a minor update on how the game goes:
Group B teams are Netherlands and Chile. NOBODY got both right! Five of us playing, from six options none of us got it right. Then again, who'd have known Spain could fail so? Not us.
Anyway, that's 1 point for me, mom and Catcherlady, zero from that group to Bec and Barb.

Re: World Cup Brazil 2014 game
US still has pretty good chances for playoffs.
Along next 4 days we'll see what's our score on the group phase.

Re: World Cup Brazil 2014 game
You know those tests where people are given multiple choice questions about something they're likely to be misinformed or have prejudice and then monkeys are asked the same and they score better than people because they're randomly guessing?
After groups A-D are finished, our scores are:
Kaunisto, Catcherlady, Barbara12: 4 points
Simelius: 3 points
Justbec: 2 points
Monkeys would be on 4 points right now...

Re: World Cup Brazil 2014 game
Score after group phase and teams for playoffs:
Catcherlady: 9, Costa Rica, Uruguay
Barbara12: 9, Brazil, Mexico
Kaunisto, Simelius: 8, Netherlands, Chile
Justbec: 6, Germany, USA
Quite annoying that I ended up in tie with mom.
And I kind of suspect we may end up last...

Re:
I see the guy who has a love for biting and bearing his gnashers has been banned or sent home for the duration, thank goodness.
The man needs serious counselling; evidently this isn't the first time he has taken to biting people on the opposing team.
And they call it the beautiful game ... I fail to understand why!

Re: World Cup Brazil 2014 game
Yep, Suarez is out and that's bad news for Catcher.
But despite the occational ugly moments, we've seen plenty of "beutiful game" - as is fitting for Brazil.

Re: World Cup Brazil 2014 game
Netherlands just saved me and mom. But I'd say Barb still has the advantage, she leads in points at the moment.

Re: World Cup Brazil 2014 game
I'm so happy right now that I made this game.
Two penalty shootouts, each of which would've practically dropped a player going other way - had Brazil lost, that would've been Barb out of game and Costa Rica's loss would've finished Catcher - and total loss for me and mom was minutes away with Netherlands. Or had Chile won, we would've been likely winners.
But now we all except Bec (whose teams haven't played yet) have one team out and one at 2 points in playoffs.
Anybody can still win!
