Even if you're not interested in football (or sports in general), this is worth a look.
FIFA has about 210 members - approximately as many as there are independent countries. Here are the football associations - essentially "national teams" - that aren't among those:

Confederation of Independent Football Associations

They've played their own World Cup 2014 and 2016. Those were won by County of Nice and Abkhazia.
