American football
Last week 2nd Women's World Championships were played in Finland and results were pretty much same as 2010:
USA absolutely dominates, Canada takes silver and Finland barely beats Germany in bronze game. And Sweden was fifth again.

Helsinki Roosters takes its 16th Finnish championship, beating local opponent Wolverines in final 52-31.
Roosters played a perfect 12-0 season.

Women's European Championship final at saturday: Finland - UK
Result: 50 - 12
Finland wins the first Women's European Championship!
In bronze game Germany won Austria 26 - 7.
5th/6th: Spain-Sweden 14-12
(Unlike other 5, UK had to qualify to the tournament, winning Russia.)

European championship is being played in Finland - sort of.
Due the schism of IFAF in recent years, defending champion Germany and another strong candidate Italy weren't able to enter.
So for this tournament's title play Finland, Sweden, Denmark, UK, France and Austria.
Games so far:
Finland-UK 28-7
Denmark-Austria 15-40
Sweden-Denmark 30-20
(Denmark will play for places 5-6)

UK lost to France so it's UK-Denmark for place 5&6 and from games Finland-France and Austria-Sweden winners go to final and losers to bronze game.

Bronze game: Finland-Sweden 35-21
Final: France-Austria 28-14
This was first European championship for France.
