Been playin' the New Super Mario Brothers for Wii. I beat the regular game (end of world 8), but then there is this bonus world 9 that you need to collect all big gold coins from every level from every world 1-8 in order to access each level of world 9. So far I have got all coins from worlds 1 and 2, so I now have access to world 9 levels 1 and 2. I beat world 9 level 1. I also notice that there are 3 coins in each level on world 9 so perhaps there is a world 10? or some sort of bonus after 9? anyone get this far?

Re: What are you playing these days?

I love adventure games. I played all the MYST games on CDs and DVDs in the past. Now I'm about to buy all the games for the iPad to play through them again. I've got the Dream Chronicle games, which are more for teenagers than adult level, but I've enjoyed playing the easy level, now I'm ready to embark on the more difficult version. I have those on the computer.

On my iDevices, I have all the Bubble Mania games. These are mostly for the purpose of keeping brain function going. You need quick reaction time and you have to figure out the shortest route to saving the kittens trapped in the bubbles, and achieve three stars on each level. Very good for old cognitive function retention.

Then I have Bingo, card games, card golf, jewel games, all the stuff that's on Facebook, but I don't record my success on FB, that will open a whole can of worms of people wanting me to buy farm animals for them. emoticon

Games are fun, but not something I could do all day. I like having them in the car when a journey is getting tedious. Keeps me awake.

Myst was great! It really pulled you into its world when you played it. I seem to have lost it though. Got Riven on CD. Haven't played that in years though. I also have Myst and Riven soundtracks which are awesome! I love all the organic percussion and synthy sounds.

Carmageddon 1&2 have a quality I haven't met in any other of the thousands of games I've played: they make me sick. An hour of Carma and it takes 2-3 to recover. Of course after few days I always develop some tolerance.

Now I have found another game that does the same, Incoming. But as this arcade flight sim shooter isn't nearly as much fun as running over people and cows, it remains to be seen if I'll ever stomach Incoming.
