Re: What are you playing these days?

So I got my cousin's old PS2, with following games:

Spider-Man
Tony Hawk 3
Ben 10: Alien Force
Aggressive Inline
Bakugan Battle Brawlers
Crash Nitro Kart
Counter Terrorist Special Forces: Fire for Effect
Paddington Bear

Also got these, but I'm not able to run (scratches?):
Kya: Dark Lineage
Lego Star Wars II
Goldeneye: Rogue Agent
Jak and Daxter 1

Also PS1 games Colin McRae Rally 1 & 2.0; I don't have PS1 memory card, so can't really play them on PS2 but for fun, but those I can play on PC emulator.

Unfortunately my old PC doesn't have the power to emulate PS2 to play those 4 games, have to see if cleaning discs might help.

Well, for whatever reason, I got GoldenEye to run and it's a curious take on the Bond world.

Having played Spider-Man and Ben 10 (and Paddington Bear...), I'm now on games I recently bought: Marvel Super Hero Squad and Ninja Assault. (Also got Ratchet & Clank 2 and had previously bought Okami for testing emulator - I'm leaving those later.)

The pads aren't OK, on the original up button doesn't work at all and in second (Microcon) left stick now and then pulls down on its own.
But I did play three games on them, fourth going... but does cause some extra swearing.

Anyway, over a month of daily PS2 now. Not much else, except my eternity project Dragon Warrior(=Quest) VII on emulator took tiny, yet perhaps biggest for a year or so, step forward.

Still playing PS2 stuff. I've been fooling around with Marvel Super Hero Squad, having tournaments of computer playing against itself to see what is the best character (it is Thing of Fantastic Four) and giving a try on several other games.
In Ninja Assault I've been able to play two of the four story mode parts (on very easy). I think that game will become an "eternity project", something to try now and then if I could get a little bit more ahead.
I've played a few races of Crash Nitro Kart (save says 15% of the game).
I bought Lego Batman, but it's so scratched it won't run. Got PC to read it enough to start on emulator, but I don't have enough power to properly emulate PS2 and PC won't read the disc completely so I'll likely be able to ever play only part of the game.
Latest PS2 I got is SWAT Siege; almost worth the 1€ I paid, not much of a game. The actual manual (minus covers, index, how to use PS2 and legal) is... 1 page.

Now three months of daily PS2.
Gave up on Crash Nitro Kart at about 50%.
I've been since playing Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando and it's pretty clearly the best PS2 game yet for me.

I've fallen to play Sims (2 to be exact).
I've always looked down this kind of games, but it does have the lure of management strategy.

Right now also replaying Max Payne 1 (for 10th anniversary of getting it).

Max Payne was more fun than I remembered.

Continuing big anniversaries, I'm now replaying Loom and Monkey Island 2 which I *cough* acquired 20 years ago.

Aside 20th anniversary run of Wing Commander: Secret Missions 1, I've finally been able to play Angry Birds Star Wars/Space (that I got years ago but couldn't run).
Got AB:SW played, I think I'll leave most of Space for next year.

I'm pretty much done gaming this year, except my christmas classics and the usual december Master System run.
