It's not really a fossil at all Leo - I don't know what you actually call it, but I thought it was interesting anyway! It shows how the winds blow so strongly in that particular area, that the little root sticking out of the sand is moved to and fro like a windscreen wiper, leaving an impression in the sand. It happened over a fairly long period of time and the wind still hasn't managed to blow the markings away - they're stuck hard, almost as if they were drawn in cement even though the sand dune is fairly soft. Just an unusual phenomenon and although it's not really "geology" I thought you'd like to see it. Maybe by now it can almost be called a fossil of sorts, I don't know!
