Mo's photo gallery
I thought I'd do a thread for my pics rather than just enter them into the competition.
I tried out a new lens yesterday, that I'll probably buy next week. I can't remember the exact distance of the zoom, more on that when I own it.
It's one of the three on the bottom row here.
This was a photo I took with my standard lens, note the R39.99 on the left, and then with the new close up lens, I want this particularly for photographing wildlife, especially birds.
This is the close up
This one is of the stack of paper behind the 299.99 board. I'm quite impressed with it.

Re:
Very nice Mo - hope you're happy with it, it looks great.
I haven't tried comparative pics with my zoom yet - hadn't thought of it, but will have a go.
It's also a good idea to have a special photo thread so I'll do that too!

Re: Re:
It's amazing how good cameras are now, from photographs like that it's as if you're there only scaled down. It looks like a good find.

Re:
I thought so Leo. It's a little expensive for an amateur photographer but I need a new interest to calm me down. I'm getting far to stressed lately, I find this relaxing

Re:
Very effective but it hurts my eyes, not sure why! But I can't look at it for more than a second ... sorry Mo!

I thought it's amazing how I got the effect of making the dots 'swim.' pretty nifty.

Re:
I took it out of the competition, on second thoughts.
Here are some I took yesterday with the new zoom lens:
The river mouths on the coast trickle down to some largish rivers and others like this one that i always see on the road but is too far away to photograph:
This is just the houses on the hills in the distance:
This one, I cut the barrier on the road off the bottom, but again, the ocean is too far away to get with a "normal" lens, so I was quite pleased to get this.
They were taken from a moving car, so any blurring is understandable, even though I did use a very fast setting for the shutter.
Then I stood outside yesterday with the monkeys playing at the bottom of the garden, again usually too far to get a decent pic. I thought this one was cute, it looks like he was trying to hide, ineffectually, behind the branch he was holding:
I'll show the ones I took of the birds this morning, later when I get around to downloading them.
