In WRC opening Monte Carlo Neuville wins, reigning champion Tänak crashes bad and Finns are 4th, 5th and 8th.

W Series season will have two races with F1 US and Mexico GPs (besides the six with DTM).

Kalle Rovanperä does WRC history in Sweden: youngest ever driver on podium and also earliest podium in career (in his second race; 9-time world champion Loeb took his in third)!

Also wins power stage, I would imagine to be also as youngest driver ever and earliest in carer.

Elfyn Evans takes his second WRC win, one of the few non-Nordic drivers to ever win Swedish Rally.

Antonio Felix da Costa has confirmed Formula E championship, with two races to go.

This was 6th Formula E season and fifth different champion.

Da Costa's only notable previous achievements are two wins of the famous Macau Grand Prix.

Next year is supposed to start "Extreme E" series of electric offroad races highlighting climate change (by being raced in Greenland and other related places).

Lewis Hamilton is starting a team for the series called X44.
Many of the intended teams are related to Formula E teams and potential drivers include many from that series.

We've become huge fans of Moto GP - much more exciting than F1. That said, yesterday's F1 race was filled with incidents - never before seen two red flags in one race and so many scrappings. But with Lewis Hamilton winning everything it's becoming very boring and we couldn't be bothered on the whole anymore - I would like to see him driving a different car, and then see what happens. He's such a pain in the neck and too arrogant and irritating for me.

I've bit lost interest on Moto GP, due no more Finnish drivers (not to mention that it's no longer on TV, so I'd have to use same bad pirate streams as with F1/FE).
And it's so often same weekends as F1.

Mick Schumacher became F2 points leader in Mugello. It's starting to look that we might see him him in F1 next year or at latest season after that.

The covid-ridden rally season ended today in Monza with seventh championship for Sebastien Ogier.
He became only second driver to have won title in three different teams.
While Ogier takes the drivers championship to Toyota, Hyundai takes the manufacturers title.

Like in a joke, Finn, Swede and Norwegian drove rally and all won world championship.
Norwegian Mads Østberg won WRC2 class and Finland's Jari Huttunen takes WRC3. Swedish Tom Kristensson won the junior drivers championship.

At the moment it looks like M-Sport Ford will not continue in the series next year, essentially leaving Tyoyota and Hyundai only manufacturers - and smallest amount of drivers actually competing for championship in WRC history.
Bad news for the sport and even worse for Finns as we have a driver or two that drops out.

Finland may this year for first time ever host two world championship rally events, as well as first one in winter (the traditional Rally Finland is summer event).
This is due cancellation of the Swedish Rally.

Arctic Lapland Rally opened Finnish national rally series, with some exceptionally high-level competitors as some drivers aiming for first WRC race also in snows of northern Finland used this as test event.

Bottas also raced (pretty much his only event outside F1), finishing 6th in total competition.

2021 Dakar Rally, raced for second year in Saudi-Arabia, ended yesterday.
Stéphane Peterhansel won the main car class for 8th time; he has also won bike class 6 times - both more than anyone else.
Second and third this year were three times champions Nasser Al-Attiyah (also Olympic medalist in shooting) and Carlos Sainz (WRC world champion and father of F1 driver).

Besider car, bike and truck series competed since Dakar Rally was established 1979 and the later added quads and UTV's, this year added two new classes: light prototypes and classics.
