Re: The Rant thread
Right now I'm so sick of websites that "value my privacy" so much that I need to click a notice away to cover their legal asses.
If you absolutely have to use cookies - and I'm pretty sure whole lot of times they don't - then at least have the decency to ask me "Are you OK with this?" or something along those lines, don't every single damned one of you tell me you value my privacy, because if you did, you wouldn't be showing your crap in my computer!

Re: The Rant thread
Hush, Mo. Don't spoil a good rant by pointing out that I could actually do something about it.

Re: The Rant thread
Here's a sick twist on websites invading privacy: yesterday I tried to book an appointment with a financial adviser at a bank, and the "Book Now" button was greyed out unless I checked a box agreeing to share my personal information with their members. Who the hell are the banks "members"? Why should making an appointment with a financial adviser be contingent on tolerating blackmail?! I did not make the appointment. I went to a different bank.

Re: The Rant thread
Oh, I've got another one. I don't want to accept my phone's latest update, but the options on the notification are "Yes" and "No, Maybe Later". I keep choosing "No Maybe Later" because there is not a "No Thanks" option, and as a result the reminder pops up five or six times a day. I've looked online and cannot find out how to stop these notifications.

Re: Re:
It's a Moto G Play. (My daughter did the research, and I went with her suggestion, but she is much more of a "use phones for everything" person..)

Re: The Rant thread
This morning I went by the auto repair shop and found out they won't have my car ready before I leave town to visit my daughter. At the time I got a quote, I asked "Should i bring the car back AFTER my trip? Or is there time to do it before Sept 22?" So I am Not impressed. They've had it since Sept 10. It doesn't take two weeks to repair a dented door. They're milking jobs because insurance is paying, so I have to drive a strange car up north.
