Re:
I can't remember when last I spent an evening watching television. Mostly I just settle with youtube before going to bed. I might watch some arbitrary show occasionally, but they're so predictable and all of them have the same story, it's just boring. I rather enjoy watching music videos and documentaries on youtube. Even with the ads.

Re: What have you been watching this evening?
If it weren't for my internet, I'd probably be watching more youtube than TV - and it's not far as is.
Yesterday a documentary about Hieronymus Bosch. Difficult to understand that art like that existed 500 years ago.

Re: What have you been watching this evening?
The BBC had a new rendition of Watership Down. The rabbits looked like hares!

Re:
We watched some old movies with my granddaughter last week, and this week rented one from Apple to watch. So much nicer than the days of going to the video store down the road for entertainment.

Re: Re:
I watched Top of the Pops' end of year special yesterday. I knew it was unlikely to appeal, given my music taste doesn't tend to align with what's in the charts, but I was appalled at how bad they were. It wasn't that the music wasn't what I like, but hardly any could sing. George Ezra, Years and Years, Tom O'Dell, Tom Grennan and Mabel all had poor voices and they all sounded very alike. Only Sigrid and Christine and the Queens deserved credit for being able to sing well, and I could appreciate that, even if it wasn't my thing. I don't want to sound hipsterish, but I cannot see how many of these have become popular.
