I love the Men, Charlie Sheen is adorable.
We watched Criminal Minds that I recorded and Numbers am recording Lewis and the other thing after that.
House will record at 3 a.m. so we'll watch it tomorrow.
Army wives is recorded, will watch it tomorrow morning probably.

No that Men thing was not for me. Canned laughter at every smart-ass remark made by a cheeky fat kid is not amusing. Give him to me for a couple of hours and I'd soon get him sorted! I can't stand precocious kids.

In the early seasons yes, but he is now 14 years old and reminds me of my own kids at that age. I don't notice the laughter, I get lost in the wit - I didn't really watch the earlier seasons but it has definitely grown on me.

My kids had a great sense of humour - still have - and were always witty and funny but without being disrespectful and cheeky. A whole programme written around everybody thinking that each remark a kid makes is just not my kind of humour. I prefer quick, clever humour and more subtlety, which is probably why I don't watch a lot of these American sitcoms.

Any thoughts or tips on tonight's viewing Mo? Just flicked through the guide and from what I can see, "The Firm" on ActionX seems to be about the best choice. Not sure if it's John Grisham's one!
I'm not really fussed about watching until 9pm when the man will be home ... nothing grabs my attention very much, but that's typical Saturday night I guess.
Any ideas?

Yes it is the John Grisham movie.
There's James Bond on SABC 3, Octopussy I think.

Saw that, but seen that too many times already!

Think we might go with The Firm then - the book was good.

If you've never seen the film, it is worth watching. It is brilliant.

Re: What have you been watching this evening?

We were just getting nicely into the movie and it kept freezing. The only way we could get it to work was to flip up or down a channel and then go back, so we were losing dialogue and continuity.
Turned our decoder off and re-set it, but the problem continued. Not happening on any other channels.
Pity because we were enjoying it (although I can't stand Tom Cruise!) but it was very irritating, so we gave up!
So much for Saturday night on SA tv - again.
