Drivers for first season of W Series, the controversial F3 championship for women, have been decided.
And hurrah, Finland - as well as South Africa - got one driver in.

In total count there are 5 drivers from UK, 2 from US and 1 from Finland, SA, Japan, Belgium, Italy, Canada, Poland, Australia, Netherlands, Spain and Liechtenstein.
(4 reserve drivers are from Italy, Hungary, Netherlands and Belgium.)

There will be 6 races, competed as support series for DTM (in first 6 of the 9 races of DTM season).

In the first W series race (see above) Finnish driver Emma Kimiläinen was injured in a crash - no fault of her own - and had to miss two next races, meaning she missed half of season due someone ramming into her.

Returning for 4th race of six, she was 5th, putting her 10th of 20 drivers who've appeared in the series so far. She also got fastest lap of Norisring race.

Today started MotoE, electric motorcycle series.
Started... with a win by Finnish Niki Tuuli! Dring for Finnish team Ajo! And he also had pole and fastest lap!

At saturday in Assen Kimiläinen became the first driver in W Series to take the triple: pole, win and fastest lap!

They'll be driving an extra race (not included in scoring) at sunday, testing an alternative race format for future.

With only Brands Hatch left (in 3 weeks), the first W Series title will be decided between Brit Jamie Chadwick and Dutch driver Beitske Visser (13 points behind, with F1 scoring 25-18-15...)

First W Series season is over and winner is Brit Jamie Chadwick with points 110 to 100 by second Beitske Visser of Netherlands.

Emma Kimiläinen was 5th despite missing half of season due the crash and injury (see above).

These three, Alice Powell and Marta García took all podiums of the season (excluding the bonus test race in Assen).

Kimiläinen took fastest lap in all three races she finished, thus currently holding the record.

In MotoE Niki Tuuli failed in second race, ending 15th and is now 4th in total. There's two double events left, four more races.

Hopes are up that Finland will get 2020 Moto GP race at the new Kymi Ring circuit. The project has been in trouble with money, but currently driven tests are promising.

Wales Rally was pretty disastrous for Finns.
Only bright spot was Rovanperä securing WRC 2 Pro class title.

With Australian Rally cancelled, the season is over.
And it was a disastrous one for Finns, among other sad statistics first in 26 years that Finnish drivers won no races.

Citroen quits WRC and that's more bad news for Finns.
Though I wonder if they'll change system to teams having one more driver now that there's one team less.
