The Better Brain Book, by Dr David Perlmutter and Carol Coleman. 2004. (Tools for improving memory and sharpness, and for preventing aging of the brain).

"Churchill, Hitler and "The Unnecessary War" by Patrick Buchanan. Scary, scary how much of the story of the run up to WWI and the period between the two wars, and the politicians involved in the horrors of the three decades run parallel to the politics of today.

I'm also rereading London, by Edward Rutherfurd. I love his books.

I had not heard of Caravans, so I looked it up and saw an Imbd listing for a movie by that name, starring Anthony Quinn. Are you reading the book that that movie is based on, or is it another story altogether?

Yes - it's one of Michener's old classic books which I first read as a teenager. Didn't see the film unfortunately - would love to.
Really enjoy his books; well researched and always interesting.

I will see if I can sign that out online from the library, but their selection is limited.

I finished the book about Hitler, and now I've become a little more rabid about racism and xenophobia, and the horrors that people do to each other for things they didn't choose.

So now I'm "reading" about Restoration London. It's fascinating, and lovely having it read to me by a beautiful voice.

I'm "reading" the third book in the Noah Gordon Physicians trilogy. I loved the first two. This one is all about abortion, not a subject I enjoy discussing, and I think written simply to write about that subject. It's not the best of the three. A pity because the other two were excellent. The portrayal of the Civil War in the second book was heart-wrenching. This one hasn't moved me yet. Only an hour or so of listening to go.
