Re: Hello, goodbye and what are you doing today...

Big load from flea market and library: a book, couple bits of manga, The NeverEnding Story (because it's been bugging me for ages that I don't remember if I've seen it), David Cronenberg's The Brood and couple old games.

I'm still recovering from the road trip. Just sitting around doing nothing in particular today.

I wish I enjoyed computer games and reading fiction. My DH does both. He can spend hours and hours just watching endless tv shows, while playing games on his iPad. I'd be so bored. Luckily he gets made to go walking every day, so at least he's not just sitting around.

I watched the royal wedding today. I was a little annoyed they didn't show it on tv, but I managed to see it on the royal youtube channel.

Wasn't it on Sky News?

I didn't watch - new carpet laid yesterday and that took ages, and was very noisy.
Also lots of catching up to do after being away for a few days (which was good!)

This morning I've been doing stuff on the computer - removing duplicates, changing passwords etc.

Pouring with rain ... an indoors kind of day.

It's a little cold here too. Drops of rain falling, nothing to get excited about.

The wedding ceremony wasn't on the news channels because of some deal someone didn't want to pay for or something. Apparently Andrew and Fergie aren't popular enough for the news channels to bother with them. I watched it on the Royal channel on youtube.

I wish it would pour with rain here. It's like living in a desert. We haven't had any rain worth talking about in six months.

Exhausting day ... normal Monday morning chores followed by a trip down the hill to the Mall, to look for accessories for the new look living room. Not very satisfactory because John was so disinterested and everything I liked, he didn't. And then he wanted to choose horrible things lol! In the midst of it all he had to rush off for an appointment with the optometrist so I then did some grocery shopping and he came back to fetch me. Home in a hurry because he had a festive concert meeting at the bowling club.

We'll be back at the Mall tomorrow because he has an appointment with the neuro surgeon and we still have things to do.

I hate shopping.

I'm so lucky that BB goes along with everything I do. He never interferes in the house, unless we've run out of money, then he might suggest we wait until the next money comes in. I can pretty much do what I want with the house.

I'm enjoying playing with the new house. I would love to replace all the ugly Venetian blinds. I hate the damn things, so I might do that instead of major kitchen alterations. I'll just replace the stove and possibly the grocery cupboard, with new tiles when I have some more money.

I'm really enjoying having access to Uber. The car's battery died over the weekend so we have to Uber to the shops yesterday. He's cramming for exams later this month so I leave him to get work done while I attend to what needs attention. All alone with himself gone off on his trip with his sister. I hope they get what they need there today, and come back tomorrow.
