What movie do you know best?

You're in a quiz show, chance to win millions. You have to pick one movie as subject, which one do you take?

(Let's say the quiz is only about things you can see in the film, no facts about cast, filming locations etc.)

Too many to mention. I tend to rewatch movies I like over and over again. There isn't one movie I can isolate from all of them. TV series on the other hand, Game of Thrones.

Re: What movie do you know best?

There's lots of movies I'm tempted to say I know all through because I've watched them twenty times, but actually the better I think I know a film and the more times I've seen it, the less carefully I really watch it every time it comes until they're just on the background without me paying attention.

And also many that I've seen lots of times, I haven't bothered to watch again for a very long time.

So while I should know Kubrick films, Leone westerns, Rocky, Karate Kid, Die Hard, Hunt for the Red October, Batman Returns...
I think I'll just have to say Star Wars.

TV series, huh? That's tougher for me.
Black Adder, maybe.

My obsession about having to relive the thrill of something that pleases me, over and over, is the reason I watch shows I love more than once. There's The West Wing that I don't watch anymore because I can almost recite the dialogue, and I know exactly what happens in every episode. I'm almost the same about shows like Sopranos, Frasier, and now I've discovered Boardwalk Empire. I've finished seeing it for the first time, and rewatching it again slowly to get to know the characters. Other shows, like Outlander, I've read the books a couple of times, so that I'm only watching for the second time.

When I was a child I used to love the big Hollywood musicals. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers was my favourite movie until I realised it was about the abuse of women, kidnapping them from their families with the intention of making them accept they were "wives" as in the days of ancient slavery thefts. Now the feminist in me is a little disgusted, even though it turns out OK in the end. I do still enjoy big musical movies, so I'm fairly knowledgeable about the ones that came out in the 1960s: Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, the Barbra Streisand movies, and lately Chicago, and Moulin Rouge.

Generally I know 80's and 90's stuff best, on this century I've been too busy with internet and games.

I don't really enjoy modern movies and most tv shows. It seems to me all entertainment has been dumbed down to the lowest intellectual level. The technology is wonderful, but the story lines are boring. The current revival of past tv shows indicates to me that there simply aren't anymore gifted writers.

I feel there's too much attempt to be serious/realistic at the cost of entertainment.
I have to complement Marvel, after success of competitors Dark Knight they didn't try to copy that grim and gritty but stuck to what they do best. Not great art, but good entertainment (most of time, of course among dozen films there are couple misses).
